At Olite Academy, our aim is simple: to help young people across Ashford and Kent grow in confidence, enjoy sport, and develop fundamental skills along the way. We want every child to feel supported, encouraged, and excited to take part — whether they’re just starting out or already obsessed with football.
Olite Academy was created by Olly Elford, who has been immersed in sport his entire life. From an early age, he dedicated himself to football — playing, volunteering, and later coaching across schools, clubs, and academy environments throughout Kent — developing a deep understanding of how young players learn and grow.
With a background in sports coaching and applied physiology, and professional experience in performance analysis and academy coaching at elite clubs, Olly brings a unique blend of academic insight and on-field expertise. Through all those experiences, one thing has always stood out: young people thrive when they’re coached in a positive and welcoming atmosphere. That’s exactly what we’re building here in Ashford.
His motivation to launch Olite Academy came from recognising how many talented young players are missed or overlooked within traditional systems — and his commitment to ensuring every player gets the opportunity to reach their potential.
We focus on the whole player — not just technique, but mindset, teamwork, and the personal qualities that make sport such a valuable part of growing up. Whether it’s PE support in local schools like Norton Knatchbull and Highworth Grammar, group sessions at Ashford’s 3G facilities, or specialist 1-to-1 coaching, our approach always stays the same: kind, clear, and centred on each child’s development.
